The Benefits of Accredited Youth Awards

SCQF's Story

This film was made by SCQF with Partners from Awards Network, Outward Bound Trust, teachers and pupils from Inverness Royal Academy, Gairloch High School, Calderglen High School and Jamie Hepburn MSP for Higher Education and Further Education, Youth Employment and Training talk about the value and benefits of having youth awards credit rated on the SCQF.

"Things like meta-skills are invaluable and they're the sort of skills that pupils might not get if they're stuck in the four walls of the school the whole time. These awards get them out and gets them thinking and developing that positive mindset they need for understanding what the world is really like, especially coming from a small place like Gairloch."
